Ladies…I have found it!
After searching for what seems like my entire life – legit…this had been an issue since puberty! – and spending ridiculous amounts of money on anything and everything claiming to help the ever present oil slick on my face, the answer to my oily t-zone prayers costs $6 and can be found at the drug store.
May I present to you Dickinson’s Witch Hazel.
I was out with a friend for St Patrick’s Day and, somehow, we started talking about our skincare routines and my oily t-zone issue and the war I was trying to wage on it and she suggested I stop at the drugstore on my way home and pick up some witch hazel. I was COMPLETELY skeptical, but it was $6 and I’ve spent $6 on worse. So, I gave it a try.
It’s been three months and I haven’t had as much as an enlarged pore, let alone a pimple, since I started using it. Consider me impressed…beyond impressed, whatever that word is, I’m it.
If you’ve been struggling with this as well, you know the feeling of dread as you inspect your face every morning to see where the newest growth has appeared, because more often than not it’s there and sometimes they invited some friends to make it a full on pimple party. And, as soon as one starts to heal – and leave a little scar to remember it by for at least a few more weeks – another one pops up, over and over and over again. Well…not any more!!!
I am not exaggerating when I say this product has changed my life.
The oil slick is gone and my make up looks so much better because I don’t have to wear so much of it anymore, even my dark spots have disappeared. Before this, I wouldn’t dare walk out of the house without at least concealer on to cover everything up. Now, I have no problem being seen bare-faced in public and find myself going without makeup more often than not for my daily activities.
So, if you’ve been riding this particular struggle bus with me and have been searching for a solution, add some Dickinson’s Witch Hazel to your cart right now. Don’t wait a single second more. You won’t regret it!
I use it as a toner – after I wash my face, but before I moisturize – and apply it with a cotton pad. I use the hydrating variety because the rest of my face is fairly dry, but there are other options available depending on your particular needs.
There’s also a facial mist that you can use as a setting spray for your make up or a quick pick me up during the day. I also keep the facial wipes in my gym bag and use them after a workout. The exfoliating pads are awesome – you know how much I love exfoliating and think it should be part of your every day routine! – and I also recommend the eye gel.
I still can’t get over all the time and money and emotional energy I wasted dealing with and trying to solve this problem and the answer was so dang simple. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
